MUST:
Experience Medical Receptionist
Must have 6 plus months of experience as a Medical Receptionist
Must have experience working with EMR; knowledge of Nextgen is preferred
Must have experience scheduling appointments
Must have experience handling insurance verifications
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
Must have strong customer service experience
Dermatology experience is highly preferred
DUTIES:
Registers new patients with complete and accurate demographics according to procedure
Verifies patient's insurance eligibility and benefits at each visit
Updates patients' charts so that the information is entered correctly
Scans documents into the electronic medical record as directed.
Completes work daily to compile missing demographic and insurance information for billing purposes
Obtain prior authorizations for care
Answer phones taking patient demographic information
Other duties as assigned

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
