-George Kurian, CEOJob SummaryNetApp's Government Relations (GR) team is looking for a Director of Government Relations to help manage and drive major projects and advocacy for the GR team.
For this role, we are looking for a candidate who is organized, proactive, adaptable, and excited by the opportunity to help build and manage the Government Relations function for an industry-leading Fortune 500 tech company.
The Director of Government Relations will work to and support the Vice President of Government Relations; will participate in and help lead the management of NetApp's government relations activities which include issues management and analysis and advocacy activities with US, state and global government officials at all levels; and will drive and direct the corporation's activities in the political and public policy areas.
Job Requirements Provide management of day-to-day operations for projects and activities including supervising the team's basic policy research, setting and driving developing project timelines and identifying and ensuring execution of deliverables.
Lead the active tracking of state, federal and international legislative and regulatory developments including US Federal and state government budgets.
Prepare presentations, white papers and talking points for GR staff in support of GR activities and directly present to both internal and external audiences.
Manage the identification and analysis of policy trends to help inform business decisions, develop policy positions, and advance the company's business objectives and initiatives.
Protect NetApp's business interests and expand growth opportunities through advocacy, education, and engagement at the federal, state and international levels.
Help to establish NetApp as a trusted thought leader by promoting the company with government stakeholders and policy influencers at the federal, state and international levels.
Support internal and external clients by monitoring, analyzing, and providing insights into the political, legislative, and public policy landscapes.
Oversee and/or conduct research, provide analysis, and prepare issue briefs explaining the political, societal, and legislative dynamics on a wide range of policy issues.
Manage a portfolio of public policy issues and track and report on policy trends and developments, providing recommendations on positioning.
Closely monitor and flag legislative and regulatory actions that could impact the Company.
Skills & Abilities:
A keen understanding of the legislative, regulatory, policymaking and political processes.
Demonstrated ability to learn policy issues quickly and work in new areas with little previous expertise.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Experience managing staff and major projects.
Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships and work well with senior-level and peer-level practitioners.
Professional demeanor and presence.
Team player with clear demonstration of ability to work in a dynamic, team-based, deadline-oriented environment.
Quick analytical thinker, able to effectively synthesize, translate, and summarize complex policy topics for use by internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel.
Ability to work independently.
Exceptional attention to detail and proven ability to self-direct work.
Education Bachelor's Degree and a JD or other relevant graduate degree 10-15

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
