Senior Network Engineer

Overview LMI is seeking a skilled Senior Network Engineer to support our Enterprise Technology Services Infrastructure Solutions group.
This position is a subject matter expert, capable of designing, engineering, testing, implementing, and managing information technology (IT) networking systems and services.
The ideal candidate must have current real-world experience with implementing wired and wireless networking solutions to include routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless technology.
Additionally, the successful candidate will have working knowledge of implementing and administering digital certificates.
The position will report to the Network Engineering Platform Lead.

The place of performance for this work will be at the LMI Tyson s Corner, VA office with travel to remote offices and data centers.
Responsibilities Responsible for engineering and implementing LMI s networking capabilities to include being the engineering point-of-contact for resolving reported performance or delivery issues.
Must be able to manage multiple and competing priorities with little supervision.
Responsible for producing network designs and engineering artifacts.
Responsible for ensuring that all networking solutions comply with industry and Government-mandated security protocols, controls, and best-practices; working closely with our InfoSec Team for documenting controls and providing metrics to comply with audits and performance levels.
Responsible for ensuring project deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
Responsible for escalating issues, problems, risks, and constraints to the appropriate levels for clarification and resolution.
Responsible for keeping abreast of new and emerging technologies.
Responsible for appropriate interactions with LMI s internal or external clients as projects dictate.
Responsible for upkeep of IT equipment in support of LMI s secure environment to include applying required STIGs on all network equipment.
Required upkeep and maintenance of LMI s two Datacenters.
Required when needed to support all LMI s remote office locations and technologies Qualifications Required Skills 4
years of experience designing, executing and supporting networking solutions.
Working knowledge of digital certificates and their administration.
Experience with both internal Microsoft Certificate Authorities and external public certificates.
Advanced experience with Palo and Cisco firewalls.
Understanding routing protocols BGP, OSPF, EIGRP.
Understand NAT and ACL s.
Advanced experience with Cisco Switches and Routers.
Knowledge of ISO-XE, NX-OS code.
Advanced understanding authentication protocols.
Radius and TACACS.
Experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine for authentication and authorization capabilities via MFA, wireless, and VPN.
Experience with Wireless LAN Infrastructure.
Experience with F5 Load Balancer.
Experience writing iRules and understanding of iRules.
Understanding of iApps, VIPs, nodes, pools and health check rules.
Understanding of Windows or Linux operating systems.
Understanding of directory services (AD and LDAP).
Must be able to use Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio, and other products to produce content and communicate with LMI leadership and clients.
Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work.
Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated networking concepts to LMI leadership and customers.
Ability to attain a government clearance up to and including Top Secret, for which you must be a US Citizen.
Other Desired Skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology Experience with Single Sign On, SAML Attribute configuration for SAML assertion.
Understanding of Kerberos and NTLM authentication Certifications in Networking, AWS, Azure Software Defined Networks in AWS engineering Infrastructure as Code constructs, with the mindset to Automate Everything in the AWS Cloud.
Virtualization technologies and migrations VMWare, Hyper-V, KVM, etc.
Network monitoring using tools similar SolarWinds or Pingdom.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
