General Public - G Job Duties Serve Virginia's veterans and their family members by ensuring they receive the benefits, support, quality care, and recognition they have earned through service and sacrifice.
To advocate for and assist veterans and their dependents in the preparation, presentation, and prosecution of all lawful and ethical veterans claims for benefits to which they are entitled.
To educate veterans and dependents on the services and benefits offered by Virginia and the federal government.
To conduct outreach to promote VDVS and the programs offered.
Minimum Qualifications Knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to veterans' benefits is preferred.
Experience with the military and / or military veteran communities.
Ability to interpret complex laws and regulations and apply to casework.
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
Customer service and public speaking skills.
Some overnight travel is required.
Preferred Qualifications Must be eligible for accreditation to represent veterans before the US Department of Veterans Affairs.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
