Position Overview:
Provide client consultation to support the design and implementation of various compute, storage and virtualization components of clients' environment.
Advanced familiarity with VMware, Cisco UCS, Hyperflex, Nutanix, Linux and Windows.
Able to make technical decisions on all project tasks and interface with all levels of client team.
Primary Responsibilities (but not limited to):
oConduct/lead design workshops for complex designs to meet client's business and technical objectivesoProactively develop plans and activities to avoid problemsoServe as technical point of contact on customer engagementsoMaintain client relationships through multiple forms of electronic interactionsoPresent solutions to technology issues and problems in user-friendly languageoProvide clear communication with customers to ensure resolution of all open issuesoAssist in the management of projectsoRegularly interface with technical and business staff of clients, including the project sponsor and stakeholders of projects in more complex engagementsoIdentify and communicate potential opportunities for cross-selling to the sales teamoManage time and expense to meet or exceed expectations defined in the Statement of WorkoProvide high quality content deliverables using the appropriate document templatesoWork with Project Manager and clients to manage expectations and timelines to ensure expectations and commitments are being metoEducate the client on solution as appropriate throughout the life of the projectoPerform remote troubleshooting through proven diagnostic techniquesoAnalyze and resolve network performance, connectivity, and related issuesoManage and perform equipment builds, deploy patches & upgradesoCreate and maintain accurate documentation for internal knowledge baseoRoot Cause Analysis and Problem ResolutionoActively work to identify and solve repeat issues, improving on existing services or processes where necessaryoDemonstrate complete proficiency in problem managementRequirementsoBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related disciplineo10
years of network engineering, implementation, support / troubleshooting experienceoExperience in systems design and implementation in medium to large environmentsoManufacturer certifications such as VMware, VEEAM, Nutanix, Cisco preferredoExperience with designing and implementing Hyperflex preferredoExperience with VMWare virtualization environments:
ESXi, vCenter, vROPS, Log Insight, Lifecycle Manager.
