0 Vienna, VA Vienna, VA Part-time Full-time Part-time Full-time $16 - $20 an hour $16 - $20 an hour 5 days ago 5 days ago 5 days ago Host/Hostess (Lunch/ Brunch & Dinner Shifts) Job Description The Host/Hostess is responsible for the receiving and seating of guests and performing a variety of other tasks within a restaurant establishment which may include ringing up orders, refilling beverages, setting tables, and cleaning eating/serving areas; performing all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management.
This is a non-exempt position and typically reports to the Assistant Manager and/or General Manager depending upon requirements.
Essential Functions:
Maintains consistent attention to the entrance of the restaurant and welcomes all guests with a smile and appropriate greeting following customer service standards Answer's phones, takes reservations, and provides information according to company standards Records customer reservations or seating times in a consistent manner providing the highest quality of service to the customer at all times Maintain neat and clean work station during service Seats guests and presents the menu and any specials seats according to company standards Communicates with the wait staff and other restaurant personnel to ensure the guests' experience meets company standards Performs the tasks of all floor positions as required including cashing out guests checks to speed up service Understands and follows instructions at all times Perform other duties in a team effort during downtime Ideal Applicants Must be at least 18.
Requires at least 1 year work experience in an upscale dining restaurant environment preferred Must be able to work in a multitasking environment with the highest level of customer service at all times.
Familiar with RESY Reservations Software a Plus!! Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:
Customer service experience required in a fast paced upscale environment Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner Must have excellent organizational and communication skills Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays Maintain a professional business appearance attitude, and performance Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers in a fine dining setting Requires the ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions Requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Frequently immerses hands in water and water diluted with chemical solutions Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE) submit resume to email protected or apply in person between the hours of 2pm - 9pm Tuesday - Sunday Job Types:
