Supervisor Intelligence Research Specialist

All candidates who are:
Current Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) Intelligence Division employees who are qualifying as Status Candidates or currently serving on a Veterans Recruitment Appointment (VRA), OR CTAP eligibles. This position has been designated National Security Level IV, Special Sensitive and requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain eligibility for a Top Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access. Applicant must meet and continue to adhere to the requirements of a Tier 5 level background investigation. Failure to successfully meet these requirements will be grounds for termination. Continued employment with FinCEN is contingent upon satisfactory completion of the Tier 5 level background investigation, the results of which fully meet the FinCEN's special employment criteria. All employees are subject to satisfactory completion of periodic reinvestigation and a continuing life style in conformity with applicable national and FinCEN directives. Any unfavorable information developed during an investigation or other official inquiry may result in termination of employment in accordance with established security policies and procedures. As a Supervisor Intelligence Research Specialist, you will:
Develop and manage a staff of analytic managers, senior and junior analysts, identify objectives, and set office-wide plan for conducting research and analysis on highly complex internationally-focused illicit finance targets. Lead and oversee deployment of a variety of data analysis tools, techniques and procedures using cutting-edge software to position the office to target complex internationally-focused illicit finance threats, including on a predictive basis. Implement a standardized FinCEN analytic product line, including tactical, strategic, reactive, and proactive analytic products for a broad customer base, including law enforcement, regulators, intelligence community, foreign partners, and industry. Experience:
For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Directing staff in conceptualizing, planning, drafting, editing, or presenting strategic or tactical analysis focused on highly internationally-focused illicit finance targets; AND Deploying a variety of data analysis tools, techniques or procedures using advanced analytics to target internationally-focused illicit finance threats; AND Implementing an analytic product line, including tactical, strategic, reactive, or proactive analytic products for law enforcement, regulators, intelligence community, foreign partners, or industry. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-15, you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
