Component Mission The Office of the Inspector General of the Intelligence Community (ICIG) was established within the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) by the Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2010. The ICIG has the authority to initiate and conduct independent audits, inspections, investigations, and reviews of programs and activities within the responsibility and authority of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI). The ICIG's principal organizational divisions are Audit, Investigations, Inspections and Evaluations, and Management and Administration. The ICIG also operates a Center for Protected Disclosures. Major Duties and Responsibilities (MDRs) The incumbent will serve as the Deputy Assistant Inspector General for Audits. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Advise and assist the Assistant Inspector General for Audit in overseeing and providing the general direction for the performance of audit activities. - Lead professional staff in planning and conducting comprehensive program, financial, acquisition, and information technology-related audits and reviews of complex intelligence activities within the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), and the Intelligence Community (IC) at-large in accordance with Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS) and in a timely manner. - Provide oversight of all audits and audit teams, including the full range of resource management such as preparing and monitoring the Audit Division's non-personal services budget for travel, training, and logistical needs and PER writing responsibilities. - Oversee Audit Division's annual training program and the development of employees. - Oversee the collection and analysis of relevant data using statistical and analytical methods, and the use of audit results and analysis to recommend actions needed to address issues identified in audits to promote compliance, efficiency, and effectiveness in the administration of programs and operations. - Review and edit written reports. - Lead staff in developing and presenting briefings that keep the senior leaders fully informed of systemic issues detracting from operational performance and program effectiveness as well as of other serious problems, abuses, and deficiencies concerning the administration of ODNI's or Intelligence Community's programs. - Engage with OIGs across the Intelligence Community by planning and supporting joint work and offering meaningful content at Quarterly Audit Committee meetings, and with OIGs across the federal government to maintain awareness of best business practices and current initiatives. - Oversee Audit Division's recruitment program. - Provide substantive input to the annual work plan, Management Challenges memorandum, and ICIG's semiannual reports to the Director of National Intelligence and Congress. - Serve as part of the ICIG management team. - Oversee the progress of corrective measures taken by senior ODNI and IC leadership to implement recommendations. Mandatory and Educational Requirements - Previous experience in auditing, preferably in the Inspector General community. - Expert knowledge of the theory, concepts, practices, and techniques of auditing, to include GAGAS and the identification of conditions, causes, criteria, and effect, and the development of actionable recommendations. - Expert management skills, including the ability to direct taskings, assess and manage performance, collaborate on goal setting, and support personal and professional development at all levels of personnel. - Superior interpersonal skills including the ability to interview, negotiate, and brief senior officials at all levels within and outside the ODNI. - Superior ability to lead an audit team in the development of audit plans, the conduct of highly complex audits, and the preparation of written reports. - Superior analytical and critical thinking skills, including the ability to think strategically and identify needs. - Ability to operate with objectivity and independence. - Advanced degree or relevant certification, such as a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, or Certified Information Systems Auditor.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
