Set of Two (2) Maxalto Apta "Proforma" 2061 armchairs by for sale in Vienna, VA
You are bidding on a set of two (2) rare and fabulous oversized Maxalto Apta "Proforma" series 2061 armchairs, designed by Antonio Citterio for B&B Italia / Maxalto, upholstered in a luxurious highest grade dark brown chocolate wool fabric; depending on lighting color alternates between dark brown and dark purple. These are monumental statement pieces for any type of interior. Although used, the chairs are in great condition with minimal signs of wear (may be just a few marks on the silver trim on the bottom from moving them around, not really visible). With taxes and shipping EACH armchair cost well over $7k. These are really large and comfortable armchairs, like lounges. My understanding is that it was the largest armchair ever made by Maxalto / B&B Italia. My understanding is that these are now discontinued. The frontal width of each of these armchairs is 43" ! These armchairs have never come up for sale on eBay as a set and in this great condition, and I doubt they will ever be offered for auction again anytime soon so don't miss your chance and bid early. We have two extra matching pillows (not pictured) in exact same fabric that we had custom ordered from B&B Italia that are available for separate purchase, please feel free to inquire if interested in buying the armchairs with the extra pillows.Cash and local pick up only! This is expensive furniture and I do not ship it because it is too bulky, heavy, and fragile, and I don't want to take the risk of something being broken in transit. Occasionally I receive offers from non-local bidders and not being aware of their pick-up arrangements/ability I thus would not know how to respond to such bids/offers.
